Rob has over 20 years of experience in building and providing IT and cybersecurity teams while providing incident response, security architecture, forensics and threat intelligence to public/private entities in support of civil/criminal investigations. His experience includes several years of instructing on cyber threat intelligence, incident response and overall security operations processes, architecture and design. He currently works as a Global Security Architect at Splunk specializing in Security Orchestration, Automation and Response. He has worked at McAfee, Intel, Dell/EMC, Re/Max International and spent several years as a cybersecurity consultant to the US Air Force, Army and Navy. He retired in 2016 with 26 years of service in the US Army and National Guard and went from recruit to Lieutenant Colonel achieving a Bronze Star and Meritorious Service medals while participating three wartime campaigns in Southwest Asia. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Networks from Regis University and holds several cyber security certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler and Intrusion Analysis (GCIH, GCIA).
