Welcome to the home of the Splunk Community. This is a project created out of the enjoyment of share experiences with Splunk and the people that use it. Every year Splunk puts on their Community Conference (.conf). This has become a family reunion to lots of people. We talk online through Slack, IRQ, and Answers but nothing compares to being there IRL (in real life).
During .conf 2018, we got together a few of our friends and had a conference within a conference. We focused on the highly technology and crazy ways to use Splunk. Most of these talks are designed to be more technical or specialized. We had speakers ranging from business leaders, Splunkers, and even someone still in junior high.
For .conf 2019, we called our conference “BSides Splunk Village”. It was so much fun working with the BSides team. We choose to call it a village since it wasn’t an independent conference. We will move from .conf site to site riding the data wave of the community.
For .conf 2020, we will not be having a BSides Splunk event. After a packed 2 days of events, we know you will be ready to get back to work and use all your new Splunk knowledge. We are looking at a mid-year event where we can check in with everyone. We will be able to see all the new ways people are using Splunk and the different problems they are solving. Of course we will still bring you the outside the box ways people are using Splunk.
Looking for something in between .conf? Check out a local user group (https://usergroups.splunk.com/). If there isn’t one, are you interested in leading one? We will be there to offer support and help you get it going.
